Sreenivasa R. Nakka M.D., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.G

Dr. Sreenivasa Nakka, M.D., F.A.C.G., F.A.C.P., A.G.A.F., Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology with added qualifications in Geriatric Medicine ( till 2002) and awarded Fellowships in American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association and American College of Physicians. He has been practicing in Hemet Valley, Menifee Valley and Temecula Valley areas since 1982.

After finishing his medical degree in India he was trained at The Methodist Hospital and Kings County Hospital/ Downstate Medical Center in New York in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Nakka is the founder/owner and President of Southland GI Medical Group, Southland Endoscopy Center in Hemet and the new Advanced Endoscopy Center-Gastroenterology in Murrieta providing comprehensive and excellent Gastroenterology and Out Patient Endoscopy services by himself and his associates and recently hiring an Advanced Pancreatico-Biliary Endoscopist to provide such services locally than patients going out of area to university centers. We provide residents of Tri- valley with two (2) full time offices in Hemet, Murrieta and a part time office in Sun City, two fully equipped Endoscopy Centers with latest and advanced equipments. He is actively involved in the largest IPA in the area, Hemet Community Medical Group, Menifee Valley Medical Group and Temecula Valley Physician Group since their inception. Currently he is the President of Physicians for Healthy Hospitals. He served on multiple leadership positions for a long time in Medical Executive committees of both Hemet Valley and Menifee Valley Medical Centers including Chief of Medical Staff.

Naishadh Raghuwanshi MD, MBA, MS

(Dr. Raghu) is a Board Certified Physician in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. After completing his undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience, he obtained a Master's degree in Physiology at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, Illinois. He continued on and obtained his Medical Doctor degree at Rosalind Franklin. His dedication and passion to learn allowed him to earn a MBA degree at Depaul University in Chicago, Illinois with a specialization in Health Care Management. After finishing his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at University of Illinois, Chicago, he went on to further fellowship training in Gastroenterology at St. Louis University. He joined Southland Gastroenterology in 2008 and provides superior care to his patients in all aspects of Gastroenterology. In addition to colon cancer screening, he has a keen interest in treating patient with gastroesophageal reflux, inflammatory bowel disease, and chronic hepatitis B and C as well as other liver diseases. After having served two years as Vice Chair of Internal Medicine at Menifee Valley Medical Center, he now is serving as Chair of Internal Medicine. He also is now the Medical Director of Advanced Endoscopy Center. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, golf, and spending time with family.

Anas Kawawey M.D.

I graduated from the University of Aleppo, Faculty of Medicine in Syria. Afterwards, I completed Internal Medicine residency followed by a combined Chief Medical residency/Academic General Internal Medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center. That was followed by fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the same institution.

During my fellowship training, I developed a great passion for advanced gastrointestinal endoscopy including Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) with Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA), Endoscopic Retrograde CholangioPancreaticography (ERCP), HALO ablation for Barrett’s esophagus and Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR) of large and flat polyps. This motivated me to pursue further training at the Harvard affiliated - Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.

In April 2014, I joined Southland GI Medical Group. Soon after that, we established an EUS program at Menifee Valley Medical Center which allowed me to offer EUS and other advanced procedures locally.

I am glad to bring these much-needed skills to the community to help our patients and be part of their cure and healing.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children in addition to playing basketball, table-tennis and tennis, and following-up on the latest technology trends.
